Online OSHA 30 General Industry Training Course OSHA 30 General Industry training is primarily applicable to people working in manufacturing operations, as well as those working in warehousing and distribution centers, most service industries, and the medical professions. OSHA 30 hour General Industry training courses taken online on the computer through this website are accepted by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in all 50 states. The online course offered through this website is equivalent to the on site OSHA 30 class; the same OSHA card is issued to the student for completing an online 30 hour course that is issued for the live class.
A student takes their course individually, with most online providers allowing the student to access their course at any time of the day or night, 365 days a year. The student simply registers for their course and starts training when they are ready, and can then log out when they need a break and then log back in when they are ready to continue. A FREE electronic study guide is provided along with the course to print as a companion to the online training class. The student is allowed up to six months to finish their course. The course is based on the OSHA CFR 1910 for general industry.
Topics covered on most online OSHA 30 hour General Industry courses include an overview of OSHA, plus sections on topics such as; personal protective equipment (PPE), respiratory protection, hearing conservation, hazardous materials, walking working surfaces, hazard communication, lockout tagout, confined space entry, bloodborne pathogens, material handling, overhead hoists and cranes, machine guarding, and basic electrical. Once a student completes their training, they can print their certificate of completion to show proof they completed the course, and their OSHA wallet card, which does not expire, is shipped to the student after being processed.
