OSHA 30 Hour Training

OSHA 30 Construction Industry training is applicable to people working in the construction trades, such as general contractors, sub-contractors and service providers working on new construction projects, major renovation sites, and demolition sites. The topics usually addressed in the OSHA 30 construction industry class (also known as the OSHA 30 hour construction industry outreach training course), include; an overview of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), fall protection, basic electrical, hazard communication, scaffolding, excavations, stairways, ladders, cranes, material handling, motorized equipment, hand and power tools, demolition work, fire protection, respiratory protection, and personal protective equipment.

OSHA 30 construction training classes can be conducted on location for a group of students. The training class can be delivered in three or four consecutive training days. On site 30-hour classes typically involve a mixture of audio visual presentation and lecture, supplemented with applicable handouts and reference materials. Trainees also receive a copy of the OSHA CFR 1926 for construction.

Students who complete the entire OSHA 30 hour course construction industry course will receive the OSHA 30 hour construction industry safety and health training card. These cards, which don't expire, are proof that the student completed the course. Students are typically presented with a certificate from the OSHA trainer as well. This is also the OSHA card required to prove the supervisor has completed the OSHA 30 hour construction training course required by laws in states such as Nevada and New York.
